JUSTICE FOR THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF LOKOLAMA

In May 2024, over twenty Indigenous People of Lokolama in the Equateur Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo were rounded up, beaten, tied together, and arbitrarily detained by police. Their homes were ransacked and their belongings stolen.

Indigenous People play a vital role as guardians of African forests.

The Indigenous People of Lokolama have long been victimised and stigmatised by the State.

Now they’re demanding justice and compensation.

Let’s support them.
