Support local communities in Cameroon
The Congo Basin Forest, Africa’s biggest tropical forest, is under threat of deforestation. In the South Region of Cameroon, Sudcam, a company supplying to the world’s largest rubber trader, Halcyon Agri, has been responsible for clearing intact forest for years, and being involved in land grabbing. It has violated the customary rights and demolished villages of the indigenous Baka people. Sudcam must stop unregulated deforestation, and adequately compensate the people who had been displaced from their land.
Act to stop Sudcam from stealing land from the indigenous people.

Stop new logging plans
Lifting the ban would put at risk an area of rainforest the size of France, resulting in land grabs, social conflict and the exacerbation of the climate and biodiversity crises.
